Wednesday, May 29th Bonner Black 8 pm Suggested Donation $5 **CATCH BONNER ON GOOD DAY TEXAS AT 8 AM**

Bonner Black 8 pm (Nashville) Bonner Black began her life on the stage at 4 years old when she took her first ballet class. For the next 10 years of her life she devoted 6 days a week to ballet training and was accepted into the American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, won a scholarship to train for a summer with the Alabama Ballet, studied a summer with the Eglevsky Ballet in New York City when she was 10 years old, and performed countless roles in many popular ballets. She had always enjoyed singing along to the radio and writing music, but when she began to learn guitar at 13 she learned something new about herself. She loved music. "I would sit in my room for hours and just write songs and sing. As soon as I got home from ballet classes, I would go up and play guitar", Says Bonner. A week before her 14th birthday, she convinced her parents to take her to Nashville to visit vocal coach, Jamie Wigginton. When he discovered her songwriting abilities, he sent her to NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association). Bonner joined NSAI and began missing ballet classes to attend songwriting workshops, more vocal lessons, and meetings. Bart Herbison, the director of NSAI, took her under his wing and at 15 she resigned from her Senior Company position at The Academy Of Classic Arts and began working on her music full time. She now has written hundreds of songs, released an album, continues to co-write with hit songwriters, and plays all over Nashville including the famous Bluebird Cafe. She now lives in Nashville and is chasing her dream.

Amanda Mora 9 pm

Born in the Texas hill country with a rich musical heritage on both sides of her family, music is definitely in the blood for Amanda Mora. Her self-produced debut album, The Ribbon, explores an impressive range of influences with a lyrical and musical sensibility that ignites the imagination and assumes the listener's intelligence. The tracks are popping with a colorful mix of acoustic textures, masterfully performed by some of Austin’s finest musicians and topped off with the clever and poignant words of a young songwriter with and old soul.

Since the release of her debut, Amanda has toured extensively through the US and Europe, been featured on radio stations from Martha’s Vineyard to Los Angles, was selected as a finalist in the 2009 Mountain Stage New Folk Contest, and has shared the stage with many of her musical heroes, including Alejandro Escovedo and Eliza Gilkyson.

In 2010/2011, Amanda Mora helped spearhead a visionary, zero emissions, bicycle/music tour across 6,000 miles and 12 countries of Western Europe. She worked as tour organizer, public relations agent, and performed as one of five headlining bands of the tour at some of Europe's largest festivals as well as self organized, grassroots community events. The tour was collectively known as The Pleasant Revolution and featured an audience-driven bicycle powered PA system, a “Live! on Bike” sound system for mobile amplified and FM-broadcast performance.

Amanda Mora is currently back in Texas, completing her second studio record, set to be released in October 2012.

Wednesday, July 24th Sky Smeed 8 pm (Chanute,KS) $5 Suggested Donation
Sky Smeed 8 pm (Chanute,KS) Sky Smeed was born and raised outside of Chanute, Kansas in an old, one-room schoolhouse his parents bought and turned into a home in the early seventies.
The first music he ever heard came from Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Van Morrison and Merle Haggard. Hearing this roots style of music playing on an old record player has stayed with Sky and is evident when he takes the stage to share his country tinged tunes of working hard, dogs, love, money, beer drinking and good times.
He has self-released three full length albums, and his most recent, “Mill River” was recorded with his band at Signature Sounds in Pomfret, Connecticut.
“Mill River is a rollicking bunch of songs, with Smeed stretching emotionally, compositionally and hitting every mark full stride.” Metroland
His music has been compared to Gram Parsons, and early Neil Young.
Sky books his own shows, and has played from Massachusetts to California, working his way through bars and listening rooms across America

Savannah Berry 9 pm

Scott Samuels (Oceanside, CA) 8 pm Scott Samuels is a rock and roll survivor with lots of stories to tell. An imaginative singer-songwriter who, according to powerpopaholic.com, “plays a mean axe”, he learned a thing or two about survival and tenacity from his neighbors, having grown up in Skokie, IL – a suburb of Chicago ~best known for having the largest population of holocaust survivors in the nation. Samuels began his rock and roll journey at eight years old, along with his brother and cousin, banging away on toy guitars and drums to the Monkees – an inauspicious start, but hey, everyone needs that first inspiration. Throughout his life, Samuels’ love for rock and roll’s “hidden treasures”, and his unique ability to recount the quirkiest milestones of life, love and career, has fueled his songwriting and performances. As San Diego’s SLAMM Magazine once said, he definitely “knows his way around a pop hook” – and back again.
